The world can now see the bespoke livery design that will run on F1® Academy driver Alisha Palmowski’s car during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
1Password and the Oracle Red Bull Racing brand teams partnered to approach this livery as a canvas for storytelling. The result is a one-of-a-kind design that celebrates female excellence and showcases talent across sport, design, and technology, all through a distinctly Canadian lens.

Here’s how this project came to life.
From story to sketch
This is what Alisha Palmowski had to say when she first saw the livery:
“I am incredibly inspired by the design created by Kirsten McCrea and cannot wait to drive this livery in Montreal. I am personally drawn to bright, bold colors and am inspired by the underlying message of celebrating female talent across different industries. Driving in and representing a Canadian-inspired livery this weekend is something that I will cherish forever. A big thank you to 1Password and Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme for the opportunity.”
This sentiment reflects the spirit of 1Password’s partnership with Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme. It is a tribute to excellence and impact, as well as a commitment to women who break boundaries, lead with purpose, and pave the way for future generations.
With Alisha being the embodiment of these shared values, she needed a car that did as well. That’s where Kirsten McCrea comes into the fold.
The design mission
This collaboration is grounded in a shared sense of place. As a Canadian company, 1Password was proud to work with Canadian muralist Kirsten McCrea on a design that would make its debut at the Canadian Grand Prix. That connection was more than symbolic; it informed the creative direction from the start. The livery was envisioned not just as a tribute to female excellence, but as a celebration of Canadian innovation, artistry, and ambition on a global stage.
Empowering and investing in emerging talent is the core of who the Team is, and collaborating with a local female artist for this bespoke design continues both Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy and 1Password’s mission to champion the talent of tomorrow with action.
Kirsten McCrea is no stranger to working on idiosyncratic canvases and non-traditional spaces.
Kirsten was chartered with approaching this livery as an outlet for storytelling that is:
- Dynamic
- Powerful
- Reflects movement and growth
- A unique take on Red Bull Racing’s iconic branding
- Represents and redefines what it means to be part of the Red Bull family
- Deeply rooted in Canadian identity and culture
It was a tall task, but Kirsten rose to the challenge. At the livery reveal event, Kirsten got on stage and had this to say about the collaboration:
“When 1Password and Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme reached out about this, they told me the livery wasn’t just about decoration. It was meant to be symbolic, a chance to celebrate female excellence not only in motorsport but also in art, technology, and every space where women are pushing boundaries. That’s a mission I care deeply about. It’s why I wanted this design to feel powerful, and to tell a story in motion.”
The livery design was crafted to be bold, purposeful, and a true celebration of excellence—and it delivered, as reported by The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and Forbes.
Bringing the design to life
Inspired by Alisha’s rise through the ranks of professional racing, Kirsten knew she had to create a design that was “strong, graphic, and unapologetic.” And, of course, a design informed by the Canadian roots of the race, where the livery will get its first action on the track.
Since the inception of the livery design, the Canadian elements have been evident. Here is a sketch of an early concept.

When McCrea explained her mindset behind the design at the livery reveal event, she stated: “I wanted to create a design that would put all eyes on Alisha as she smashes the stereotype of what women can achieve in motorsports. But I also wanted to create a design that was proudly Canadian and rooted in our rich cultural legacy.” All of those boxes have been checked off.
A closer look
The bespoke livery is a visual celebration of Red Bull Racing’s legacy, with each design element carefully chosen to reflect themes of identity, momentum, and collective progress. With that much intention and purpose put into every component of the livery, they deserve a closer look.
First, for an authentic behind-the-scenes look, you’ll see how the car looks when it is being constructed and before any of the new livery design has been applied.

Then, once constructed and the wrap has been applied, you’ll notice a bold palette of red and blue that anchors the livery in place and purpose, with red honoring Canada and blue paying tribute to Quebec’s cultural roots.

Next you’ll see, flowing across the car, stylized dandelion seeds that appear to lift from the bodywork in motion. Each seed represents ambition and ideas taking flight, a nod to the spirit of Expo 67 and Canada’s rich history of championing innovation.

Finally, from the rear wheels, a ripple pattern radiates outward, symbolizing how a single woman’s influence can spark wider change, creating room for others to accelerate forward.

Every curve, pattern, and color tells a story, but the impact of this livery goes far beyond its surface.
More than a paint job
1Password and Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme are committed to championing the next generation of female excellence in motorsport, technology, business, and cybersecurity. While this livery design is just one step along that mission, it’s resonating. Alisha echoed the sentiment at the livery reveal event:
“This livery means the world to me. It’s bold, it’s confident, and it’s full of purpose. It celebrates female excellence and talent not only in racing, but also in design and technology. It reminds me that when one of us breaks through, it opens space for others. I see that ripple effect in everything this design stands for.”

Together, the organizations are helping to inspire and build more inclusive pathways by providing mentorship, tools, and support to young talent ready to lead in high-performance environments on and off the track. So, whatever the next generation of women is interested in, whether it’s motorsport, cybersecurity, design, or any other field, we want them to progress forward with the confidence that whatever they put their minds to, they can achieve excellence.
